Important Safety Information

  • The Rezzo visor is not designed for skiing, snowboarding, or motorised sports.
  • Use only Class 5 and Class 6 whitewater helmets. Do not use with motorised sport helmets.
  • Use only the Da Brim attachment band manufactured by Bryant Outdoor / Da Brim. Do not modify the visor system.
  • Do not use this product with helmets that have non-removable visors.
  • Always use caution when riding. Do not ride near overhanging branches where the bill or strap could get caught.

Step-by-Step Installation

1

Begin with a Loose Adjustment Strap

Start with the adjustment strap on the attachment band fully loosened. Hold the band so the buckle is in your right hand and identify the centre front, located between the two stitches.

💡 Tip: If your helmet has a removable visor, remove it before installing the Da Brim. Do not use this product with helmets that have non-removable visors.
2

Prepare the Friction Tube (Optional)

An optional third piece, the rear friction tube, is for use with helmets that are rounded or do not have a hook to fit the strap at the back. If your helmet has such a shape, unthread the strap from the buckle, slide on the rear friction tube, and rethread the strap through the buckle before beginning.

💡 Tip: The friction tube helps the band grip helmets with smooth, rounded profiles.
3

Position the Band on the Helmet

Hold your helmet upside down with the front pointed away from you. Align the centre front of the band with the helmet and work the band around so that it rests on the contours of the helmet. The band should wrap around the bottom surface of the helmet.

💡 Tip: The stitches on the band mark the centre. Align these with the front-centre of the helmet.
4

Grip the Band and Helmet Together

Use your right hand and put your thumb on the inside of the helmet and fingers on the outside, gripping the band and helmet together firmly.

💡 Tip: A firm grip ensures the band does not shift while you tighten.
5

Turn Right-Side Up and Set the Strap

Turn the assembly right-side up while still holding it with your right hand. Work the strap into an indentation in the back of the helmet. For rounded helmets, be sure you are using the rear friction tube.

💡 Tip: The strap should sit snugly in a groove or channel at the back of the helmet.
6

Tighten the Strap

Pull the helmet up to your bicep and grab the strap. Tighten it using your thumb against the helmet as leverage. Tidy up the excess strap by passing it through the rubber ring. If the rear friction tube is required, align it at the centre back of the helmet.

💡 Tip: The band should feel snug and not rotate freely on the helmet.
7

Attach the Visor Bill

Align the centre of the bill with the centre of the helmet and press the sides of the bill (with loop fasteners) onto the hook fasteners on the attachment band at the desired angle. Walk your palms toward the front of the helmet and tightly press the bill against the mating fasteners on the band. Check to ensure the hook and loop fasteners are secure.

Important: Failure to properly seat the Da Brim assembly could result in it unseating during use, which may lead to serious injury.
💡 Tip: Leave a gap between the bill and the attachment band to relieve air pressure. The minimum recommended gap (measured at centre front) is half an inch (12 mm).
8

Final Safety Check

Check for correct installation before each use. Centres of the helmet and Da Brim should align. Always ensure the adjustment strap on the band is tight. The attachment band should always wrap around the contours of the helmet and seat below the front helmet surface to prevent detachment. Check by pulling upward on the centre front of the visor bill. The Da Brim assembly should not be loose or detach from the helmet.

Important: Failure to properly seat the Da Brim assembly could result in it unseating during use, which may lead to serious injury.
💡 Tip: If the Da Brim does not seat as described, do not use it with this helmet.
9

Secure Hook and Loop Fasteners

The front visor model is equipped with hook and loop fasteners for attachment of the visor bill to the attachment band. Always make sure the hook and loop fasteners are secured tightly before each use. Inspect hook and loop fasteners regularly for wear. If the fasteners do not function properly, discontinue use of this product.

💡 Tip: If not properly secured, the front visor could get caught in the wind, flip down, and obstruct your vision.
10

Fit Your Helmet and Test Vision

After the visor assembly is installed on the helmet, follow the helmet manufacturer's instructions for fitting. While the helmet and Da Brim visor assembly is fitted, check that the Da Brim does not obstruct your vision. Pay attention to your peripheral vision. Should your vision be obstructed, remove the helmet and reinstall the visor bill and/or attachment band.

💡 Tip: Look up, down, and side to side to ensure full range of vision before riding.
