Step-by-Step Installation
Begin with a Loose Adjustment Strap
Start with the adjustment strap fully loosened before installation.
Grip the Centre Back of the Helmet
Hold your helmet at the centre back with your thumb on the outside and grip the centre back loop of the Da Brim visor at the same place with your thumb.
Rotate and Seat the Visor
Place your other hand at the front of the product and rotate the assembly upside down. Push the helmet against your chest and slowly pull the Da Brim visor over the helmet, seating the visor's edge on the helmet. The black underside of the visor should end at the bottom edge of the helmet.
Flip Over and Tighten the Strap
Flip the assembly over and tighten the strap by positioning your thumb at the rear of the helmet and pulling on the strap. Give the strap several good tugs to achieve a tight grip. Tuck the strap into the hole provided.
Check for Correct Installation
Centres of the helmet and visor should align. If necessary, pull to straighten. Always ensure the strap is tight. The Da Brim helmet visor should always seat below the front helmet surface, as shown, to prevent detachment. Check by pulling upward on the front visor as if in wind flow. The visor should not be loose or detach from the helmet. If the visor does not seat as described, do not use the Da Brim visor with this helmet.
Adjust Hook and Loop Tabs
The Cycling Classic model Da Brim is equipped with hook and loop tabs for adjustment of front visor angle and rear brim height. Use these tabs to adjust these features to your preference. Always use and securely close the front visor angle tab. If you do not, the front visor could get caught in the wind, flip down, and obstruct your vision. Inspect hook and loop fasteners regularly for wear. If the fasteners do not function properly, discontinue use of this product.
Fit Your Helmet and Test Vision
After the Da Brim visor is installed on the helmet, follow the helmet manufacturer's instructions for fitting the helmet. Then, while the helmet and visor is fitted, and prior to using it in an activity, check to ensure that the Da Brim visor does not obstruct your vision. Pay attention to your peripheral vision. Should your vision be obstructed by the Da Brim visor, remove the helmet and reinstall the Da Brim visor.
How to Remove the Da Brim
Always remove the Da Brim when stationary and in a safe location.
Wait until you are at a safe location and at a rest position.
Disengage the Da Brim visor by releasing the tension on the strap by pulling up on the buckle.
Pull up on the Da Brim product to remove.
