Cycling Classic Helmet Brim

The Da Brim Cycling Classic Helmet Brim is designed for maximal UPF50+ sun protection coverage. The largest of the bicycle helmet visor models, the Cycling Classic provides a broad 360° sun protection. Use our helmet visor with virtually any bicycle helmet to increase your enjoyment of a ride in the cool comfort of shade.

The Cycling Classic is designed to work with both traditional bicycle helmets that have a notch or indentation at the back of the helmet to nest the Da Brim’s attachment strap and with more rounded helmets.

Features

  • Requires no modifications to your helmet or sticky adhesives
  • Air flows freely through helmet vents, promoting cooling
  • Helps block glare
  • Adjustable front visor angle to see forward while in a head-down riding position
  • The front strap keeps the brim from coming down and impairing vision
  • Rear brim height adjustment for use with backpacks and mirrors
  • Reinforced brim edge for added stability
  • Engineered to withstand the wind forces imposed by outdoor activities. Comfortable in combined wind speeds of up to 25 mph (sum of your speed and wind from all directions.) Note: This model is not designed for high-speed downhill descents or performance cycling.
  • UPF50+ brim (helmet attachment crown not rated)
  • As with other visors, does not provide top of head sun protection
  • 3½” front brim contours to 4½” at the rear to provide excellent neck sun protection. Note that dimensions are of the brim itself. If comparing to a favorite hat that sits against the head, add the thickness of the helmet (typically 3/4″ -1″)
  • Lightweight (weighs approximately 5 oz.)
  • Water-Resistant
  • Hand wash, hang to dry
  • One size fits most helmets 26- 32″ in outer circumference where the Da Brim will sit
  • Available in 5 colors: Grey, Red, Blue, White, and Fluorescent Yellow; all colors with black under brim
  • Pictured on a helmet. Helmet not included. (Note: chin strap is helmet’s).

For recumbent riding, add the front stabilizer (sold separately).

da brim classic helmet brim

Very happy with the fluro classic brim. I cycle 22 km a day on the coastal pathway on the Sunshine Coast
through bush sections and people can see me a long way off. So far it has stayed on in strong wind. A number of people have commented that its a good idea. Some people say how bright it is.

Brim Flies Off!

When I rode in a moderate wind the brim flew off. They are expensive, yet this problem appears to make them dysfunctional, except in very still weather.

Soo Good

Really great product. Purchased on for my wife last year, it was so good I purchased one of these for myself.

Second time Ive tried one

Second time Ive tried one. I bought one for my wife and gave it a whirl and was impressed. I like it very much for normal days riding. Adjust your helmet strap firmly on a windy day as your head can be buffeted around a bit. Keeps the sun off better than the legionnaire cap I was wearing under my helmet, cooler too. No trouble with ridding into the wind that I found, I'm not a racer but a tourer. The Sun Brim will be my go to kit for sunny days on every ride.

Da Brim da best.

Purchased Da Brim cycling hat because i have skin condition that is sensitive to sunlight. I have XL helmet and brim fitted snugly. I normally have my helmet fitting slightly loose but had to snug it up as wind resistance on brim made helmet move a bit. Definitely fit for purpose altho somewhat expensive it was worth it to me.

Fantastic Sun Protection

Easy to attach to helmet, the brim provides fantastic protection from the sun.
Rode in very windy weather, I took a bit of a battering but the brim remained intact.
